Scrotal Lift and Scrotal Web Release in New York and New Jersey

Scrotal lift and web release in New York and New Jersey with Dr. Elliot Heller

A scrotal lift, also called scrotoplasty, removes excess or sagging scrotal skin. When loose skin climbs up the underside of the penis and makes it look shorter, a scrotal web release frees it. Dr. Elliot Heller performs both under local anesthesia in about an hour, as an outpatient. The procedures work on the skin only, and he has done male genital surgery for decades.

The Procedure

Only the Skin Is Removed, Never the Testicles

The first thing most men want to know is whether this touches the testicles. It does not. A scrotal lift removes only excess skin and tissue. The testicles, their blood supply, and the cord are left alone. Some temporary numbness while the skin heals is normal and settles over the following weeks. This is why technique and an experienced surgeon matter, and Dr. Heller works only on the skin that needs to come off.

When Loose Scrotal Skin Gets in the Way

Men come in when a low-hanging or loose scrotum bothers them, gets pulled or caught during sitting, cycling, or sex, or simply makes them feel older than they are. Dr. Heller removes the extra skin and lifts the scrotum, which improves both comfort and symmetry.

When Scrotal Webbing Makes the Penis Look Shorter

Scrotal webbing is when loose scrotal skin stays attached to the underside of the penis, sometimes climbing partway up the shaft. It can make the penis look shorter than it is and get in the way during sex. Dr. Heller releases the web, often with a Z-plasty technique, which reveals the length the skin was hiding and cleans up the look of both the penis and scrotum. It reveals length you already have rather than adding erectile tissue.

Scrotal Enhancement With Filler

For men who want a fuller scrotum rather than a lift, Dr. Heller can add volume with hyaluronic acid filler in a short in-office visit. Because it is filler, the result is permanent with Dr. Heller's technique, and can still be maintained or dissolved if you ever want it adjusted.

The Procedure and Recovery

The procedure is done under local anesthesia and takes about 45 minutes to an hour, so you go home the same day. Dr. Heller removes only the excess skin, which keeps the result natural. Plan a couple of days off. Swelling and bruising are normal in the first few weeks and look worse before they look right, so expect that and do not be alarmed. The full result settles over 2 to 3 months. Because only the extra skin is removed, the improvement is permanent.
