Pubic lift (monsplasty) to reveal hidden penile length in New York and New Jersey with Dr. Elliot Heller

A pubic lift, or monsplasty, removes the fat pad and loose skin above the penis. When that pad is heavy, it buries the base of the penis and makes it look shorter than it is. Removing it brings the hidden base into view. Dr. Elliot Heller does it as an outpatient under local anesthesia, usually with sedation, in about 60 to 90 minutes, and most men return to desk work within a week.

The Procedure

It Reveals Length You Already Have, It Does Not Add Inches

Here is the honest part. A pubic lift does not lengthen the penis. It removes the fat pad that was burying the base, so more of your existing shaft shows. If you have pressed a ruler into the fat pad to the bone, the gap you felt is roughly the length that was hidden. How much shows depends on how heavy the pad is, which Dr. Heller measures at your consultation. Men with a real fat pad see a clear difference. Lean men with a thin pad see less, and Dr. Heller will tell you that honestly rather than overselling it.

What is Monsplasty?

Also referred to as mons reduction surgery, monsplasty is a surgical procedure that is done to remove the extra fat and loose skin from the pubic region of a person. In this surgery, the surgeon uses the pubic lift to reduce the size of the enlarged pubic pad in the upper section of the penis.

The oversized fatty pad in the pubic area is known as mons pubis. This is how the surgical procedure got its name. The mons pubis increases in size as a person gets older or gains weight. Though many men turn to weight-loss strategies to get rid of the extra pubic pad, it doesn’t help much. Monsplasty or pubic lift is the ideal treatment that helps men get rid of the fatty pad.

“For men whose pubic fat pad has expanded and concealed the base of the penis, monsplasty is the most direct intervention. The procedure restores the visible portion of penile length without ever touching the penis itself. Many patients combine it with ligament release for additional length, or with fat grafting for girth, in a single operative session.”

Why Weight Loss Did Not Fix It

The pubic fat pad is one of the most diet-resistant places fat sits. It is often the last to go and frequently never fully goes, even after you have lost weight everywhere else. That is exactly the situation a pubic lift is for. Nothing is wrong with you, the pad just does not respond to diet and exercise the way other areas do.

How the Pubic Lift Works

Under local anesthesia, Dr. Heller removes the excess fat with liposuction and, when there is loose skin too, removes that and tightens the area. The full procedure takes about 60 to 90 minutes and you go home the same day with a responsible adult to drive you. A standalone pubic liposuction handles fat only. A pubic lift adds skin tightening, which is the better option when both fat and loose skin are part of the problem.

Will the Result Last?

The fat cells removed do not grow back, so the result is permanent as long as you hold a stable weight. The honest caveat: significant weight gain can still enlarge the remaining cells and the area can fill back in, with new weight tending to land in untreated spots. Keep your weight steady and the result holds.

Recovery

Most men return to desk work within about a week. Walking is encouraged right away. Avoid strenuous activity and exercise for 2 to 3 weeks. One thing to expect: swelling in the first couple of weeks can make things look worse or even shorter before the real result shows, so do not judge it early. The final contour settles over 3 to 6 months.

Who is a Good Candidate for Monsplasty?

Monsplasty is appropriate for adult men in reasonable general health who have an enlarged mons pubis (pubic fat pad) that conceals the base of the penis or creates an unwanted contour. Common reasons for an enlarged mons pubis include weight gain, aging, hormonal change, or genetic predisposition. Patients with significant weight fluctuation should reach a stable weight before surgery. Candidacy is reviewed during a confidential consultation with Dr. Heller.

Combining With Ligament Release or Girth

A pubic lift is often combined in one session for a bigger overall change. Releasing the suspensory ligament adds visible length, and fat transfer or filler adds girth. Combined with a ligament release, the flaccid length gain can be larger. Dr. Heller plans the combination around your goals and is honest about what each step does.

In Dr. Heller's Words

Dr. Heller will monitor you till the effect of the sedation agent has gone away. After that, you can go home. Pubic lift and pubic liposuction are procedures with no real downtime and recovery is quite fast.
